How did you keep going, and how did nurses help?

Seattle Pacific University had me in as a guest speaker on Feb. 26 to talk about the premature birth of our son, born at 22 weeks and 6 days of gestation. A student asks about our core values that made us keep going, and what nurses did to help us. The answer is that it was hard to keep going — my wife was more resolute than I was, and the nurses were helpful when they did not talk down to us.
