Today is Gabriel’s second day of preschool in our district’s developmental preschool. This is a government-funded program that will allow him to continue the catch-up work that he was doing in the birth-to-three early intervention programs.
It’s quite an adjustment for us — early intervention programs always had me taking him and watching everything he did. Now he rides the yellow bus to and from school, and I get some time at home to clean things up. Still, it’s strange not having him around.
